Abstract
Caridean, stenopididean, anomalan and thalassinidean decapod larvae were collected monthly during daytime hours in Kuwait Bay and the Khor al Sabiya from September 1981 through August 1982. Most taxa were more abundant during spring through fall months and least abundant during winter. Taxa that were somewhat more abundant along the southern periphery of Kuwait Bay, where habitats were more diverse, included Diogenes spp. (Anornala), Upogebia spp. (Thalassinidea), porcellanids (Anomala) and alpheids (Caridea). Larvae which were more abundant along the northern shore and in the Khor al Sabiya, where mud flats are extensive, included Ogyrides orienjalts (Caridea), Enierita ?asiatica (Anomala) and two callianassids (Thalassinidea).
